Nicholas F. Ginsburg is an independent researcher and dealer of 20th and 21st century art.

Having begun his career as a researcher in Modern and Surrealist art at Di Donna Galleries, Nicholas subsequently worked at Cheim & Read before assuming his most recent role of Director, Modern Art at Robilant+Voena, New York. In the past few years, Nicholas has sourced, placed, and advised on the acquisition of works by Alexander Calder, Louise Bourgeois, Peter Doig, Max Ernst, Lucio Fontana, Sam Francis, Janis Kounnelis, Claude Lalanne, Wifredo Lam, René Magritte, Man Ray, Joan Mitchell, Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso, Serge Poliakoff, Jackson Pollock, Paul Signac, Joel Shapiro, Andy Warhol, among others.

Nicholas’ values are rooted in transparency, discretion, and meticulous research. Committed to continuing his work in the art market, Nicholas eagerly embraces new endeavors that foster opportunities for artistic discovery and creation both within and beyond the art world.

Born in Washington, D.C., Nicholas attended the Washington International School and Milton Academy before graduating magna cum laude from Northeastern University, where he majored in European History, minored in History of Art and International Relations, and studied abroad at SciencesPo Paris. In 2016, Nicholas received a MSc in Art, Law, and Business from the University of Glasgow and Christie’s Education, London, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art.

A citizen of France, the U.S., and Canada, Nicholas is fluent in French and English, and conversational in Spanish. He is based in New York.
